Joseph City – Jack Rabbit trading post

Winslow, Meteor Crater, “standing on the corner”

Flagstaff – Hotels, neon, old downtown

Williams – Old downtown, Delgadillo’s Snow Cap Drive-In

Seligman - Birthplace of Historic Route 66,  Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's R66

Kingman – Powerhouse Route 66 museum, El Trovatore Motel

Oatman – Burros, Oatman hotel with shootouts

Sitgreaves Pass - Kingman and Oatman, winding, scenic, narrow

Our immediate thoughts on Route 66 in Arizona

Good things

You can only do so much research before you set out on a journey like travelling the entirety of  Route 66. We are setting out with a list of things we want to see, but much of the success of these things is the opportunity to trip over some great surprises, and hopefully they are good surprises.

Not so good things

Every trip has some things that don't go as anticipated, and some of those are things that you really can't change - we will no doubt encounter some of those, and will leave a note on this site of what those were.

What you have to see when you do this

Everyone has favorite things in travel, and we will share ours and perhaps they will be your favorite things too.
